Bristol City signs long-term StreamAMG deal
July 27, 2020
Bristol City have become the latest football club to continue with StreamAMG after signing a new long-term agreement.
City, who are part of the Bristol Sport group, have been StreamAMG clients since 2017, with MediaPlatform and CloudPay powering broadcast of their EFL Championship games to UK and international audiences.
The club, whose online product is branded as Robins TV, have now added StreamAMG’s advanced distribution platform, CloudMatrix, and the StreamPlay fixture management system. Under the agreement, the wider Bristol Sport group has also acquired rights to use StreamAMG’s technology. As well as Bristol City (men and women), the group consists of Premiership Rugby sides Bristol Bears (men & women); Bristol Flyers Basketball and Ashton Gate Stadium – the largest conference and events space in the South West of England.
StreamAMG’s Chief Executive Officer, Hugo Sharman, said: “Bristol City are a club which puts a lot of effort into presenting first class content and we’re very pleased to be extending our relationship. Robins TV has been seeing record numbers, especially since the return of football behind closed doors; both the club and ourselves have been delighted with the platform’s performance. This provides a strong foundation for the future. We also look forward to working closely with the wider Bristol Sport group and the ecosystem of partners supporting their considerable digital ambitions.”
Group Head of Communications at Bristol Sport, Lisa Knights, added: “StreamAMG has consistently proven to deliver a robust and first-class streaming platform. Their personalised account management style means that it always feels like a collaborative approach in trying to provide the best service possible to our fans. This has been a partnership which has evolved over a number of years and I’m looking forward to expanding it further across our sporting group.”
