World Surf League on Fuel TV

Fuel TV and the World Surf League (WSL) have struck a new multi-year distribution agreement that will see the Championship Tour (CT) and select specialty events broadcast live exclusively on Fuel TV in Portugal, and on a non-exclusive basis in other key territories including EMEA, ASIA and Mexico, it was announced today by both organisations.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the WSL back to Fuel TV” said Fernando Figueiredo, CEO of Fuel TV Global. “We have a long history with professional surfing, and to have the WSL live on Fuel TV in 2020 and beyond is great news for our passionate community around the world.” In addition to all WSL Championship Tour events and 2020 line of specialty events, Fuel TV will also be the home of a variety of programming that is being developed and distributed by WSL Studios, including the popular “World Surf Weekly”, “Lawn Patrol” and “Soundwaves.”

The WSL on Fuel TV will kick-off with The WSL Countdown, a series of regional, pre-season specialty events that are planned in 2020 as a run-up to the start of the 2021 Championship Tour. Dates and times will be announced as details become available.
