New Numberblocks game on CBeebies Go Explore app

September 3, 2020

Pre-schoolers can practise their numeracy skills with the help of their favourite Numberblocks characters in Number Magic Run, a new game that’s now available in the CBeebies Go Explore app. Featuring popular characters from the hit CBeebies show, Number Magic Run includes simple addition, subtraction and the sharing of puzzles to introduce key early years foundation stage (EYFS) numeracy skills to pre-schoolers.

Number Magic Run offers an opportunity for children and parents alike to engage with numeracy in a fun and encouraging environment. Mixing learning with simple game-play, children can learn at their own pace as they help the Numberblocks characters travel through caves and mountains in search of some shiny treasure.

Rachel Bardill, Executive Editor, BBC Children’s, says: “We’re excited to bring another new way to nurture key early years skills in the Go Explore app, this time with our favourite Numberblocks friends. With Number Magic Run, we hope to give little ones a chance to pick up and practise their numeracy in a fun way.”

Go Explore is packed with free games and videos based on the early years curriculum featuring CBeebies favourites, from phonics with the Alphablocks to shapes with Hey Duggee. Number Magic Run follows the launch of Your Mindful Garden, a mindfulness game voiced by Stephen Fry, which was added to the app earlier this year.

Number Magic Run was developed by BBC Children’s with help from an education consultant.
