Prime Video’s Torres docuseries launches Sept 18

Amazon Prime Video has announced that Fernando Torres: The Last Symbol will launch exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Spain on September 18th. In addition, it has released the official trailer for the documentary, which covers the player’s career from his debut with Atlético de Madrid through to his retirement from football last year.

“This is the story of my life. So short but yet so lengthy,” said Fernando Torres “This documentary is a journey through more than twenty years of my life and I hope the watching audience will get to know me better by watching it. It includes my good and not so good moments, unveiling some of my best-kept secrets and showing the real-life evolution of a dream come true.”

The documentary travels through the life of one of the greatest icons of Spanish football’s ‘golden age’, who retired in June 2019 after 18-year career, revealing to Prime members some of the most iconic places in Torres’ life including Japan, Liverpool, London and Madrid, and featuring some of the most important people from Torres’ career including his locker room colleagues, international football icons and coaches, featuring newly-recorded, exclusive interviews with Torres, in which he talks openly about his life, including talking  for the first time about some of the most emotional moments of his career.

Fernando Torres: The Last Symbol is a Buendía Estudios production. Jorge Pérez serves as Executive Producer of this documentary directed by Laura Alvea and José Francisco Ortuño.
