Eleven Belgium extends deal with NBA

September 30, 2020

Eleven Sports Belgium has extended its partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in a new multi-year deal.

The agreement means Eleven will continue to offer Belgian fans comprehensive coverage of the NBA across its linear and digital platforms.

Eleven subscribers will be able to enjoy four live games each week during the regular season, as well regular action from the play-offs and full coverage of the NBA Finals. All games played at European primetime slots will be available on Eleven.

Eleven will also carry the NBA All-Star game each season and regular highlight shows in what will be a 360° NBA offering across Eleven’s platforms.

Guillaume Collard, Managing Director of Eleven Sports Belgium & Luxembourg and Head of Acquisitions for Eleven Group, said: “We know how committed Belgian basketball fans are to our NBA package and we want to continue to offer them the best possible coverage of their favourite teams across all of our platforms. We’re delighted to be continuing our collaboration with the NBA in the seasons ahead.”

Elsa Memmi, NBA EME Vice President, Global Media Distribution, added: “We are very pleased to extend our collaboration with Eleven Sports. NBA fans in Belgium will continue to enjoy localised NBA programming tipping off tomorrow with what promises to be a thrilling matchup between the Lakers versus Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals.”

The collaboration is the latest in a series of high-profile new rights deals announced by Eleven in Belgium. Eleven Belgium extended its partnership with the NFL earlier this month and in summer 2020 launched its Home of Belgian football offering with three 24/7 new channels dedicated to Belgian football.
