The ATS team expands UK office

The ATS Team has announced the expansion of its global operation with the appointment of Danny Sanz as Vice President of Production and Shayna Waldman as Development and Production Executive, and the opening of a UK HQ.

Focusing on growing The ATS Team’s slate of original IP, the pair will continue to work closely with the LA office and manage its European operations, including the design and rigging for Germany Ninja Warrior (RTL), France Ninja Warrior (TF1) and Israel Ninja (Keshet), among others.

Danny Sanz has over 20 years’ experience in the TV production industry and has worked across live production, travelogues, outside broadcast and feature films.

He served as Executive Producer at ZED and managed the production of several cross-platform interactive game shows for Spain, Colombia and Poland among others. His credits include line producing the Sky Arts series Why Do We Dance (winner of the FAFF Best dance show), Peking Express for Spain, France, Italy, Mexico and Colombia and two UK Ninja Warrior series for ITV.

As Executive Producer and Vicepresident of Production for The ATS Team he is in charge the company’s international operations, which include production services for shows as Ninja Warrior in France, Germany, Israel, Switzerland and Australia, Takeshi’s Castle in Saudi Arabia and further projects in the development for ITV, RTL Germany, Keshet Israel and Polsat in Poland.

Shayna Waldman will be Production and Development Executive for UK and international productions.

Her experience includes taking content from development stage through to delivery networks such as such as Fox, NBC, CBS and Showtime, plus digital platforms such as Facebook, across territories including the US, UK and the Americas.

Her role covers creating, developing, and pitching original concepts to grow the ATS Team’s slate of original IP in the UK. She will also oversee the growth strategy for the company in the UK and Europe. Alongside this she will manage international crews and handle logistic operations for its current slate of shows.

The ATS Team has been responsible for the execution of some of the world’s biggest entertainment formats including the original El Puente, The Bridge – which has just been picked up by HBO Max – The Titan Games (NBC) and Ninja Warrior UK (ITV). It is at the forefront of planning and designing COVID-complaint sets and formats, and reworking ideas to ensure they continue to provide viewers with compelling shows.

The team in the UK are already doing a fantastic job of working closely with broadcasters to develop programmes across multiple genres, most notably in documentaries and non-scripted. We will be working closely with Mike Woodward, Vice President of Creative Development and Production, who is based in the Los Angeles office and in charge of ATS’s original content slate and new ideas that are constantly flowing in the company.”
