The Orion group, a leading media platform in Russia and the CIS, and Mariot LLC have implemented a launch of new TV channels in Russia – “Courtroom” and “Gagsnetwork”. As a technical partner of the project, Orion has provided a full range of services for the TV channels broadcast and their distribution. The technical launch of “Courtroom” and “Gagsnetwork” will take place on October 19. They will be available to Orion’s DTH-platform (brand “Telekarta”) subscribers after they are included in the TV broadcasting license.
The Orion group provides satellite uplink, HD and SD play-out, ground signal delivery and distribution of the TV channels to cable operators networks. The broadcast will be carried out from the Horizons 2 and Express-AM5 satellites, thus subscribers throughout Russia and the CIS countries will have access to the new TV channels. “Courtroom” and “Gagsnetwork” will be included in the “Leader” and “Premier” packages of satellite TV “Telekarta” and will be also delivered by Orion to all major Russian telecom operators in SD format with the help of satellites and in HD format via ground communication channels.
“Courtroom” is the first and only judicial TV channel in Russia, where viewers can watch thousands of hours of well-known projects, such as “Battle for the Future with Elena Dmitrieva”, “Trial Emotions with Nikolay Burdelov”, “Family Affairs with Elena Kutina”, “Courtroom. Battle for money” and others. This content will help the audience to plunge into the atmosphere of the court session, become more enlightened in legal matters and learn how to defend themselves legally in everyday life.
“Gagsnetwork” is the world’s first TV channel of silent humor that can be watched without any sound and translation. It will offer the audience the best humor shows in the genre of “hidden camera” “Pranksters”, “Funny Even Funnier”, “Too Rude for YouTube”, the silent classic of Russian humor “Fool’s Village”, as well as the world-famous “Naked and Funny”, masterpieces of the world cinema by Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, pranks and jokes.
