SPI/FilmBox and Türksat/KabloTV expand partnership

Global media company SPI/FilmBox and Turkey’s largest cable operator Türksat/KabloTV announced that they have renewed and expanded their longstanding linear and digital partnership. The new agreement guarantees Türksat/KabloTV subscribers continued access to eight unique channels from SPI’s portfolio for an additional three years, along with SPI’s content streaming service, FilmBox Live. In addition to the renewal, the deal also makes SPI’s premium movie channel FilmBox Extra available to the subscribers in an add-on package. FilmBox Extra content will also be available to watch on demand through FilmBox Live, which is available to Türksat/KabloTV subscribers at a discounted special price, through a joint offer by FilmBox and Türksat.

FilmBox Extra is one of SPI’s premium movie channels, and is available in over 10 countries, reaching around 7 million households worldwide. The channel offers a wonderful selection of Hollywood blockbusters in full HD, and hundreds of premiere titles every year.
Cenk Şen, Türksat CEO, declared that they want to enrich their content (Türksat Kablo) day by day and said: “We will reap the benefits of our partnership with SPI / FilmBox very soon.” Şen expressed his satisfaction with the agreement rendering SPI’s FilmBox Extra channel available to Türksat Kablo subscribers, which will be followed closely by documentary, game, and movie fans within the scope of enrichment of the content offered to KabloTV customers. “We will continue to offer high-quality content to KabloTV customers with affordable opportunities,” he concluded.
The other channels included in the deal are: SPI’s flagship movie channel FilmBox; FilmBox Arthouse which brings world cinema classics from iconic directors such as Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini and many others to cinema lovers; Gametoon, a new generation gaming channel created by true gaming and esports enthusiasts; FightBox broadcasts some of the most electrifying combat sports live events and multi-discipline mixed martial arts coverage from all over the world; Fast&FunBox offers action-packed programming dedicated to adrenaline sports; DocuBox delivers a collection of award-winning documentaries about different cultures and the wonders of our world, and 360 TuneBox presents new music every week with today’s emerging artists.
