Erenbjerg nominated as NENT Chair

January 12, 2021

In advance of the NENT Group Annual General Meeting of shareholders to be held on May 19th, NENT Group Chair David Chance has decided not to stand for re-election. The NENT Group Nomination Committee proposes the election of Pernille Erenbjerg as the new Chair of the Board.

Erenbjerg has served as member of the NENT Group Board since May 2020, and was previously President and CEO of TDC, a leading provider of integrated communications and entertainment solutions in Denmark and Norway. Pernille is currently Deputy Chair of Danish biotechnology company Genmab, Deputy Chair of Millicom International Cellular, and a non-executive Director of both Nordea, the largest financial services group in the Nordics, and Nordic Connectivity AB, a supplier of fibre infrastructure in northern Europe.

Erik Durhan, Nomination Committee Chair: “Pernille knows the TMT sector inside out, having managed a converged provider of communication and entertainment services through transformational change over many years. Her strategic, operational and financial experience and insight will be of great value in leading the Board’s work, as NENT Group accelerates both its Nordic development and international expansion to become the European streaming champion. NENT Group’s Board provides complementary skills and perspectives that combine strategic, operational and financial insight and leadership. This balance is vital to the further development of NENT Group’s streaming and broadcast businesses, and to successfully capitalising on changes in consumer behaviour, capturing growth opportunities and generating sustainable value for shareholders.”

The Nomination Committee comprises Vegard Torsnes, appointed by Norges Bank; Joachim Spetz, appointed by Swedbank Robur Funds; Erik Durhan, appointed by Nordea Funds; and David Chance, Chair of the NENT Group Board of Directors. The members of the Nomination Committee appointed Erik Durhan as Committee Chair at their first meeting.

The Nomination Committee’s proposal for Directors of the Board will be presented in due course, and the Nomination Committee’s complete proposal will be presented in the notices convening NENT Group’s Annual General Meeting of shareholders.
