Netflix and Legendary Television have announced two new anime series, the first based on Legendary’s Skull Island, home of King Kong, and the second on Square Enix’s Tomb Raider global video game franchise.
Netflix and Legendary Television are also currently in production on the previously announced anime series Pacific Rim: The Black.
Skull Island will serve as new chapter in Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise, following shipwrecked characters desperate to escape the most dangerous place on Earth—a mysterious island home to prehistoric monsters, including the greatest titan of them all, Kong.
The Tomb Raider series will pick up after the events of the highly successful video-game reboot trilogy, and will chart Lara Croft’s latest globetrotting adventure.
