Telstra Broadcast Services promotes environmental sustainability

January 28, 2021

Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) is honoured to have been awarded the DPP Committed to Sustainability Mark, joining other high calibre media and technology organisations who are also committed to promoting environmental sustainability in the industry.

TBS is proud to be part of the wider Telstra organisation, where a commitment to positive environmental impacts permeates throughout the company. For example, Telstra was listed on CDPs Global Climate Change Index A List, signifying it as one of the world’s most pioneering companies leading on environmental transparency and performance.

Even after receipt of the DPP mark, TBS continues to reflect on how we can advance our environmentally positive impact. The delivery of our International Remote Production solution supports us in this endeavour. The nature of the solution allows us to minimise our carbon footprint by reducing personnel and equipment travel, and less power is distributed at various venues by centralising personnel and equipment at production hubs.

We anticipate that sustainability will become a greater piece of discussion in the industry, and TBS will continue to engage in discourse on how the media and technology industry can come together on delivering more sustainable, environmentally friendly impacts to our communities.

TBS brings to our customers a dedicated team of media industry professionals, high performance media networks, online video and cloud platforms, world class satellite services, and 24/7 bookings, operations and engineering support to help securely take your live sports content from stadiums to screens.
