Data: HBO Max’s Tom & Jerry pulls 1.2m views

Warner Bros continues to roll out its movies on US streaming service HBO Max, and on February 26th Tom & Jerry, the latest such film, was streamed in 1.2 million households, according to Samba TV.

Viewership peaked on February 27th with 550,000 households after 408,000 watched on the day the movie was added to HBO Max’s library.

Meanwhile, the movie – a live-action/computer-animated slapstick comedy based on the iconic anitmated duo – made $13.7 million at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.


Tom & Jerry
‘s streaming debut is on par with other WB movies that have gone straight to HBO Max. The Denzel Washington flick The Little Things attracted 1.4 million households on its opening weekend in late January. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman 1984, perhaps the most high profile HBO Max debut, drew 2.2 million households for its opening weekend.
