Take 1 to subtitle Languages & the Media 2021 conference

Transcription, access and localization services provider to the media and entertainment sector, Take 1, will provide fast turnaround subtitling services to the Languages & the Media 2021 international conference taking place online from 20-24 September. The subtitles will be supplied as part of a premium sponsorship package that will also see Take 1 presenting a speaking session and hosting a virtual booth at the event.
TheLanguages & the Media international conference and exhibition brings together leading academic experts and key industry stakeholders in the world of media localization and access services to share information about the latest trends and technologies. Established in 1996, the event is recognised as Europe’s leading conference in the sector and is accompanied by an exhibition to showcase relevant new technology, services and solutions. The 13th edition of Languages & the Media will be held online due to ongoing uncertainties around COVID restrictions, and will follow the overall theme, “Riding the Wave.”
Take 1 will provide SRT subtitles, within a 24-hour turnaround time, for the Q&A sessions and selected panel discussions and presentations at this year’s conference. In addition, the company will be responsible for editing the pre-recorded presentations and speaker-produced English subtitles. Take 1 will also participate in the conference with a presentation entitled “Why artisan and at-scale services aren’t mutually exclusive” during the workflow session on Tuesday, Sept. 21st from 5pm CEST. In the session, Take 1’s VP of localization, Yelena Makarczyk, and product manager, Joshua Martin, will discuss how transcription data, cloud workflows and clever resourcing make it possible for localization and access service providers to maintain the creative integrity of productions, even when working with high volumes of content.
