Finecast secures PwC verification on addressable TV solution

November 4, 2021

Finecast, an addressable TV provider, has announced that PwC has performed independent verification testing of Finecast’s process for delivery of UK addressable TV campaigns. Finecast has engaged PwC to help clearly demonstrate Finecast’s continued commitment to transparency in how premium campaigns are delivered on behalf of its clients in the UK.

Measured over April to June 2021, the testing procedures covered four key areas of Finecast’s workflow spanning campaign planning and set up, audience activation, recording of impressions and campaign reporting. The team maintained operating effectiveness of key processes and controls even in a predominantly remote environment caused by the pandemic.

This testing continues the commitment to provide external verification which Finecast started with PwC in 2019, when it became the first addressable TV advertising service provider to seek external testing of their UK addressable campaign delivery and reporting processes.

“Marketers are looking for the best solution to help them reach consumers, and addressable TV advertising is one of the most powerful mechanisms to build brand awareness and sales revenue,” said Harry Harcus, UK Managing Director, Finecast. “At Finecast, we believe it’s also important to regularly and independently provide assurances to broadcasters, advertisers and our partners that our solution delivers transparency, integrity and brand safety. The results of the verification testing by PwC reinforces Finecast’s commitment to delivering premium quality campaigns for our clients and an engaging experience for consumers.”

Adam Edelshain, Director at PwC said: “Finecast’s workflow sets out its approach to campaign planning, activation and reporting of UK addressable TV advertising campaigns in the UK across its TV and All Screen products. These areas have now been subject to independent verification testing by our PwC Media team.”

PwC’s verification testing was conducted in accordance with the international standard ISRS 4400 (revised) issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.
