December 10, 2021

The National Basketball League (NBL) in Australia has announced the the official launch of the NBL Fan Channel.

NBL fans can build their own channel via the NBL website, utilising a cloud-based video technology developed by Linius Technologies. Users can generate their own personalised video stream around their favourite team, players and games that can be edited and shared online with followers and friends. Each channel is automatically updated when new content matching their individual preferences becomes available.

“The NBL Fan Channel service provides an opportunity to extend the reach of our sport by allowing our fans to curate and share their own channels,” Hungry Jack’s NBL Owner and Executive Chairman Larry Kestelman said. “We want our fans to be able to watch the NBL in as many different ways they choose and enjoy the game with family and friends as we go to the next level this season.”

“We’re putting the game back in the hands of fans, and our technology brings a new era of personalised TV from sport, through to every kind of digital TV content there is,” Linius CEO James Brennan added. “Linius’ sports solutions have increased fan engagement for our other sports clients, and we are excited to now have basketball fans also able to enjoy it.”
