Court TV, the digital broadcast network known for its ‘gavel-to-gavel’ coverage of high-profile trials, is to carry the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard court case which is set to commence on April 11th.
“Court cases that are as high-profile as this one often create a lot of noise, and it can be difficult for viewers to break through these distractions to have a clear picture of the facts, but that’s where we come in,” stated Acting head of Court TV, Ethan Nelson.
The action comes from an article in the Washington Post back in 2018 by Heard which Depp’s team considered defamatory. Depp’s claim for $50 million in damages was somewhat topped by a counter-suit from Heard claiming $100 million and arguing that Depp had defamed her.
Press reports suggests that witnesses include Elon Musk, James Franco and Paul Bettany.
