April 7, 2022
Telecoming, a company specialising in the development of digital services monetization technologies, has signed a strategic agreement with OKAST, a SaaS solution for the creation of streaming video platforms, to boost the online video market.
Launched four years ago, the OKAST solution has experienced rapid growth, driven in part by the explosion in online video consumption and on-demand live streaming. This growth has solidified OKAST’s status as Europe’s leading SaaS solution for creating white-label platforms via a flexible and robust tool, enabling the deployment of FAST channels and OTT platforms on the web, mobile, or TV applications with a particularly fast turnaround time.
Through this alliance, Telecoming will integrate its monetisation technology with the OKAST solution to help its video platform customers reach more mobile users by facilitating payment through phone and network operators (Direct Carrier Billing technology) and thus significantly increase revenues.
Cédric Monnier, CEO d’OKAST, said: “Providing the simplest user experience and a frictionless payment path is one of the keys to rapidly growing a paid video platform. We are delighted to benefit from Telecoming’s technology and experience in mobile payments which allows us to offer our clients access to a very large audience in multiple territories, such as Africa, with different payment habits.”
Nicolas Gimenez, Global Partnerships Director de Telecoming. added: “This strategic alliance will allow us to bring our mobile monetisation developments to OKAST customers so they can discover a new way to distribute their services. As the consumption of video content via mobile devices increases, it is essential that companies have the most advanced technology on the market to launch their own propositions in a simple and agile way and, in addition, monetise them.”
