Netflix marks Earth Month with curated collection

April 14, 2022

Netflix is marking Earth Month with a new curated collection of stories about the planet and its heroes.

The new colllection, called ‘One World, Infinite Wonder’, is available immediately featuring art by California-based illustrator Leonardo Santamaria – who was inspired by people impacted by climate change, having experienced it first-hand in the Philippines.

The collection includes series, films and specials that honour nature like Our Planet, Animal, David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, and a new five-part series: Our Great National Parks. Narrated by former US president Barack Obama, the serie sexplores the world’s most breathtaking national parks through the eyes of its wildest residents.

Viewers can also learn about the science of climate change in Breaking Boundaries, Bill Nye the Science Guy; or how to live more sustainably in The Minimalists: Less is Now, Down to Earth with Zac Efron and Best Leftovers Ever!.

There’s also a collection of dramas including Ragnarok, Frontera Verde (Green Frontier) and Okja; films such as The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and Youth v Gov (out April 29th); and feel-good titles like Falling Inn Love, Waffles + Mochi, as well as new sci-fi adventure Captain Nova.

“This collection reflects the fragility of our planet, but also how we can help it heal,” commented Emma Stewart, Netflix Sustainability Officer.
