Euronews launches new apps with Alteox

April 20, 2022

Alteox, the Luxembourg-based digital media, VoD, and SmartTV App development company, has announced its partnership with Euronews under which the technology provider has developed and launched two digital products for the news broadcaster.

The products are an application for Linux’s operated STBs (B2B2C) and an Android TV application for the Google Play store (B2C). The ad-supported apps offer live TV news (in nine language) and VoD content available in up to 12 different languages with evergreen content on different subjects such as business, culture, sports, sci-tech, travel and lifestyle.

Sven Breckler, CEO of Alteox, said: “We are delighted to team up with Euronews, a truly independent and fact-based news channel, and contribute to their mission to offer reliable, objective, and high-quality journalism. This is especially important now, in a world of increasing disinformation and propaganda so we are particularly proud that we can assist in distributing trusted and unbiased news content in the digital space.”

Maxime Carboni, Director of International Distribution at Euronews, added: “Partnering with Alteox allows our Group to pursue its current product strategy: to offer the best user experience, allowing audiences to access independent and quality content. All of this is now a reality through the Euronews app on Linux and Google TV, thus strengthening our media’s successes and footprint on the digital and connected devices ecosystems”
