Net Insight has announced an expanded relationship with Astound Business Solutions, powered by RCN|Grande|Wave, a national fibre solutions provider dedicated to delivering reliable and secure connectivity for mission-critical applications. In 2021, Astound selected Net Insight’s native live IP video solution for its media services network throughout its footprint.
Net Insight provides Astound with a solution that is comprised of components for network design, core, edge, and orchestration that enables connectivity from coast to coast.
“Astound is committed to delivering the best media network services to our customers,” says Patrick Knorr, Chief Commercial Officer for Astound Business Solutions. “Serving the most densely populated metropolitan areas in the country is not easy, especially as devices need to be deployed at the edge. We needed a reliable yet flexible solution that allowed us to reach millions of businesses and consumers coast to coast. Net Insight is a leader in delivering open-standard, interoperable IP media network solutions that helped us achieve our goals. Together we have created an open, standards-based solution that offers even greater flexibility to our customers.”
Net Insight delivers a fully managed resilient network that allows operators to create new services by enabling existing ports without additional cost. Aside from being more cost-effective, the new system offers end-to-end visibility and enables Astound to offer its customers a more compelling service, while alleviating bottlenecks in fiber usage.
“Delivering a fully managed and monitored IP media network across the largest metropolitan areas in the US is truly transformative,” says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight. “We make it simple for our customers to deliver the network services they need today and tomorrow. We are proud to announce Astound as the key Aperi win last year and we’re excited to continue to support Astound as it deploys its managed contribution media network to more areas.”
