Vodafone Spain back with tier 2 football

Three years after it had given up on offering La Liga football, Vodafone Spain will this season broadcast all matches from La Liga Smartbank – the La Liga’s second division. It will distribute the content with its sports package (Pack Deportes) at €5 a month including all second division matches. Subscribers will be able to see the matches on channels 330, 331 and 332 when the season kicks off on August 12th with Levante taking on Huesca.
“The company strengthens its Regional and Local strategy to offer its customers the competition with some of the most popular teams in the Spanish football”, comented the operator. Vodafone Spain had previously dropped football from its offering on account of the broadcast rights being too expensive.
