U-Next has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in Japan with Fight Sports, owned and distributed by CSI Sports. With this agreement, Fight Sports will be available on U-Next from October to all U-Next subscribers, and 100 library episodes will be available for SVoD viewing.

In addition, all live boxing events will be streamed on Fight Sports via the U-next streaming platform, starting with the ‘Wilder vs Helenius’ bpxing match to be held on October 15th.

“It is a pleasure to be launching in Japan with the digital leader U-Next with a plan to build the Fight Sports together as the home of the most high profile, live events in the sport on the U-Next platform” said co-CEOs Richard Miele and Craig Miele. “In a short period of time U-Next has expanded exponentially and with the significant investment that Fight Sports will make in Japan we plan to grow both of our business together into a leader in the market.”

Tenshin Tsutsumi, President and Representative Director, U-Next, added: We are very pleased to conclude an exclusive distribution agreement with Fight Sports, which has produced and distributed some of the best original programming in the industry as well as broadcasted numerous world-class legendary fights. Until now, there were not enough numbers of the world boxing events to be distributed in Japan, but from now on, martial arts and boxing fans will be able to watch all the fights on Fight Sports in real time. We hope that martial arts and boxing fans and all sports fans will be able to enjoy it more.”
