Netflix launches Triviaverse quiz game

November 8, 2022

By Nik Roseveare

As the holiday season approaches, Netflix is rolling out Triviaverse, a quick-hit trivia game. Players must answer as many questions correctly as they can within a time limit, and achieve the highest score possible. Players can either play in one player mode and attempt to beat their high scores, or against a second player in a turn-based format. The categories of questions range from science to history to pop culture.

As players achieve higher scores, the Triviamaster will bestow badges upon them like Preschool Graduate, PhD Dropout, Super Nerd, Certified Genius and the ultimate title of Triviaverse God.

Triviaverse is available globally in nine languages – English, Spanish (LatAm), Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Spanish (Spain), Italian, Korean and Japanese – and on all devices that support Netflix interactive experiences, including smart TVs, streaming media players, game consoles, computer browsers and mobile devices.

Rick Sanchez, engineer at Netflix, said: “Whether you’re waiting for that turkey to finish cooking, finding yourself with some downtime at the airport, or needing a break from your holiday shopping — what better time to try your hands at a new interactive trivia experience on Netflix? […] Whether it’s challenging a personal best to beat 4,000 points, or dueling your friends to reach 10,000 points, we hope you learn something new and have fun.”
