ANGA COM 2023: Kick-Off for new Streaming & OTT Hub
December 6, 2022
After the restart in May 2022, ANGA COM is back on a full growth path. Registrations for more than 18,000 sqm of gross exhibition space have already been received for the next show from 23 to 25 May 2023. In terms of space booked by the existing client base, there is currently an outstanding increase of more than 20 per cent compared to 2022.
Growth is particularly strong in the booming area of fibre optics. In addition to the vendors, also investors such as Deutsche Glasfaser and Deutsche GigaNetz will be present with large stands. Fibre optics will also be expanded in the conference programme: There will be an International FTTH Summit for the first time in 2023 with international showcases on fibre optic roll-out. A new special area for Media Distribution and the Streaming & OTT Hub will have its premiere in the exhibition halls. Within its core areas of broadband and audiovisual media, ANGA COM will thus once again upgrade new TV and video topics. The Streaming & OTT Hub will provide smaller vendors and start-ups from the media distribution sector with a plug & play solution in a particularly high-end setting and premium visibility. The new special area will be created in hall 7 in a direct entrance location between the exhibition boulevard and the popular open air plaza. There will also be a lounge area with a coffee station. The location will be accompanied by an integrated communication campaign before and a special visitor guidance during the event. A completely new feature of the Hub will be the Innovation Stage, a presentation and discussion stage on current topics from the areas of video, streaming, OTT and AppTV. This is where the ‘NewTV community’ meets for a high-profile industry dialogue. Exhibitors can present their new developments close to their stands. Dr. Peter Charissé, CEO of ANGA COM, commented: “The response from exhibitors in the fibre optics sector is overwhelming. We have never had so many stands with over 100, 150 and 200 sqm. With more than 50 billion Euro investment volume in Germany alone, there is an excellent, well-founded basis for this. At the same time, innovative video topics such as IPTV, streaming, OTT and AppTV are continuously gaining in importance. Anyone who takes a look at the designs and visualisations of our new Hub and the Innovation Stage will immediately recognise: We are investing massively and taking the atmosphere and quality of stay for exhibitors and visitors to a new level.”
