Italy: DAZN ups device limit; adds content
December 19, 2022
From Branislav Pekic in Rome
From January 2nd, sports streaming platform DAZN will offer Italian subscribers the possibility of connecting more devices, as well as add new content.
Instead of two simultaneously connected devices in the ‘Standard’ plan and six in ‘Plus’ package, the new limits will be four in the ‘Start’ plan, six with ‘Standard’ and seven with the ‘Plus’ plan.
Additionally, across all plans, content can be viewed simultaneously on more than one device while connecting to different internet networks.
Although DAZN in Italy mostly attracts viewers for its Serie A and Serie B football coverage, the platform is seeking to boost sports content.
Consequently, the service is adding basketball (Euroleague, Eurocup, and Serie A) and rugby, and more football from Serie C, via a deal with Eleven Italia.
Available for €12.99 per month, the new ‘Start’ package will include the new content, in addition to the best of international football, combat sports, as well as cycling, tennis, volleyball and athletics events, via the Eurosport HD 1 and HD 2 channels.
The monthly fees for the ‘Standard’ and ‘Plus’, which provide access to Serie A and Serie B football, will remain unchanged at €29.99 and €39.99, respectively.
