Dan Abrams’ Law&Crime Network hires new execs

Law&Crime, the live trial and true crime network, has hired Eileen Holliday and Matt Zarrell as part of the network’s push to expand digitally. Holliday has joined the network in the newly created position of Vice President of Social and Digital Content, and Zarrell will serve as the Executive Editor of LawAndCrime.com, the leading true-crime website in the US.

Holliday comes to the Law&Crime Network from The New York Post. Throughout her 25-year career, Holliday has held various leadership positions in media, including five years at SiriusXM as the director of digital content and time at the Orlando Sentinel as a breaking news editor where she led a 10-month investigation into the city’s use of force, which ultimately earned several awards including SPJ and the 2016 ONA Investigative Data Journalism awards.

As Executive Editor, Zarrell will serve as the editorial lead for all content, breaking news and reporting for LawAndCrime.com. Most recently, Zarrell was manager of digital content at LiveNOW from FOX and prior to that, he spent 3 years working as a news editor and manager of trending for ABC News’ digital desk. Over his career, Zarrell has also worked for the New York Daily News and HLN where he helped to spearhead editorial coverage for many nationally watched trials, including Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman and Jodi Arias.
