Sky Max adds Hammond and Neville to entertainment slate

Sky Max has announced new commissions starring outstanding British talent, to returning favourites such as Rob and Romesh Vs S5, A League of Their Own S18 and A League of Their Own: Road Trip.

Follow footballing legends Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher on a trip like no other as they travel to different cities in Britain and Ireland as part of The Overlap Live Arena Tour. Audiences can expect behind the scenes nerves, banter and pep-talks, highlights from the live shows, and some extra special guest appearances! In Sky Original Gary Neville’s The Overlap on Tour (w/t), (produced by Buzz 16) Gary, Roy and Jamie will take a walk down memory lane as they travel to each city, stopping at iconic tourist attractions, grassroots clubs and other locations that were memorable to them in their footballing career.

Do you know your House of the Dragon from your Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Can you list an actor’s previous TV appearances like IMDB? Sky Max’s new pilot On Demand (w/t), is an exciting new comedy show putting your cultural knowledge to the test, celebrating all the things we love about television. TV fanatic Josh Widdicombe and TV royalty Alison Hammond star alongside outspoken host Rob Beckett as team captains, guiding their team of stars of the small screen and comic telly fans through a series of dynamic rounds to prove who knows the most about our beloved TV. Brought to you by Talkback (a Fremantle label), On Demand(w/t) adopts the same tone as their acclaimed music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. With dynamic rounds, hilarious anecdotes and incredible trivia, chaos is guaranteed!

Rob & Romesh Vs S5: (5×60) Sky Max and NOW, 2023

Now on its fifth series, Sky’s funny men Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are back and gearing themselves up to face four more hilarious challenges. We’ve seen them do drag, take to the West End stage, dance on ice, and even score freekicks with the England World Cup team. They’re not holding back with the challenges this year as Rob and Rom will be jetting off to Sin City, learning the tricks and trades from the legendary Penn & Teller for Rob & Romesh Vs Magic. They will also be pulling the strings as they join the London Philharmonic Orchestra at their Royal Festival Hall residency in Rob & Romesh Vs Classical Music. Follow the boys to India in Rob & Romesh Vs Bollywood, as they are trained in elaborate dance routines and fight scenes, before facing the test at a casting audition for a real Bollywood movie. And finally, they may both be recent first-time dog owners, but will they be best in show in Rob & Romesh Vs Crufts?

A League of Their Own S18: (10 x 60’ plus Christmas special) Sky Max and NOW, Autumn 2023

The multi award winning sports quiz: ‘A League of Their Own’ is back for its 18th series. Only this time the show is moving from a summer record to the autumn. This time, expect more topical jokes than ever before, bigger sports stars, more surprises and expect all your favourite comedians back on the show that is always in a league of its own.

A League of Their Own: Southeast Asian Road Trip (6 x 60’) Sky Max and NOW, 17th February 2023

After 2 years grounded to the British Isles, Jamie, Micah and Romesh are back for the most ambitious Road Trip yet: an epic sporting odyssey across Southeast Asia. The adventure starts at the Singapore Grand Prix, with a once in a lifetime challenge set by Max Verstappen and Christen Horner.Along the way they’ll be joined by an array of star guests: Mo Gilligan heads into the vast Vietnamese jungle; Alan Carr and Big Zuu don lycra for a supersized synchronised swimming challenge; Patrice Evra and Maisie Adam race dragon boats in the awe-inspiring Ha Long Bay; while Joel Dommett and Emily Atack attempt the ancient martial art of May Thai. At the end of the road either Micah or Jamie will make their stand-up comedy debut – opening for Alan Carr at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo in the series forfeit!
