Jellysmack content on The Roku Channel

March 1, 2023

Jellysmack is expanding into the free, ad-supported TV (FAST) segment through a new partnership with The Roku Channel. The deal will bring two new linear channels, Hello Inspo and Mysteria, to The Roku Channel’s Live TV Guide. The channels will feature packaged series from Jellysmack’s top creator partners.

The new channels from Jellysmack feature shows from 17 top creators, and are now available to stream for free on The Roku Channel through the service’s Live TV Guide.

Hello Inspo is a lifestyle channel where top creators share inspiration for everything from beauty and style hacks to home makeovers, mouthwatering recipes, and DIYs. The channel’s featured creators include Brad Mondo, LaurenRiihimaki (LaurDIY), Emmeline Mayline Cho (Emmymade), Liz Fenwick, HeXtian, Hellthy JunkFood (JP Lambiase & Julia Goolia), Smitha Deepak, Josh Elkin, and Karina Garcia.

Mysteria brings the biggest creators in true crime together for deep dives into twisted crimes and unsolved mysteries. The channel’s featured creators include Stephanie Soo, Christina Randall, True Crime Recaps (Amy Townsend & Chris Nathan), Killer Bites, Dr. Todd Grande, John Lordan (LordanArts), Brooke Makenna, and Danelle Hallan.

“Taking the leap from social media to streaming is the perfect next step for my brand,” said creator Brad Mondo. “Getting to launch not one but three shows on The Roku Channel is super exciting. Hair is universal, so the more people I can help and share my passion with, the better.”

“I can’t believe that viewers are now able to watch my cooking content on live TV,” added food creator Emmy Cho. “Launching my own show on The Roku Channel is an incredible place to be, and I’m thrilled to share my love of food with more fans. Big thanks to Jellysmack for helping to make it all happen.”

The new Roku FAST channels are an expansion of Jellysmack’s creator programme, which uses AI to detect promising creators and distribute their content to multiple platforms like Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, and more. The effort is led by Stefanie Schwartz, Jellysmack’s Head of Platform Partnerships, who joined the company last year after leading Viacom Digital Studios as EVP and General Manager.

“Our partnership with Roku is about finding big opportunities for creators and their content,” said Schwartz. “The Roku Channel’s linear offering is the #1 FAST service on Roku, America’s #1 TV Streaming Platform*, giving our creators the ability to reach a large and growing audience. We’re delighted to bring Roku top creators – at scale.”

Programming for Hello Inspo and Mysteria will be refreshed on an ongoing basis and new creators will be added to the schedule by Jellysmack as the channels expand.

“We’re delighted to partner with Jellysmack as the company’s first-ever FAST partner. We are thrilled to provide our audience with content featuring some of today’s most popular digital creators, including Brad Mondo, Lauren Riihimaki, Stephanie Soo, and more through this partnership,” said Ashley Hovey, Head of The Roku Channel, AVoD. “The addition of these new channels to our Live TV Guide is the latest example of how we aim to provide our users with access to popular entertainment options for free.”
