Brightcove has announced Bill Martens as their new Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions and Services. Martens will lead Brightcove’s services organisation to help scale their services business and drive solutions for their customers.

Martens is a media, streaming and technology executive with 20+ years of experience building, managing and monetising consumer video products and experiences at B2C and B2B2C companies in the US and overseas.

Most recently, he was Chief Business Officer, Studios at Group Black, a media collective and start up working to address racial inequity in the media industry. Prior to that he was Chief Growth Officer at Holler Technologies, which distributed contextual branded content via messaging applications. Before that Martens was Managing Director, Europe at Disney Streaming Services (formerly MLB Advanced Media / BAMTECH), where he led the division’s international expansion by launching an Amsterdam-based technology services joint venture with Discovery Communications.
