Vorboss bolsters leadership talent with key hires

Vorboss, London’s business fibre network, has announced the appointment of Richard Price as Chief Security Officer, and James Fredrickson as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
Price is a leading technology and security expert, having worked in the sector for over 20 years in technical and commercial roles, with a transformation focus. He is responsible for the company’s corporate, physical and cyber security. He joins Vorboss from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he educated governments and public sector organisations across EMEA on cloud security, and unblocked projects impeded by security or digital sovereignty concerns. Prior to AWS, Price was a director at Deloitte’s London-based cyber security consultancy, where he helped businesses recover from major security incidents and transformed their approach to cyber security.
Fredrickson is one of the UK’s leading figures in addressing the challenges of accelerating full fibre rollout, driving customer take-up and scaling revenue. He offers exceptional experience in understanding and navigating the industry, having represented three of the UK’s largest and most-established businesses in the sector.
Previously, Fredrickson was Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Hyperoptic and oversaw the company’s campaign against mid-contract price rises. This led to Ofcom and the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) reviewing industry practices and altering marketing rules to make such price rise clauses transparent to customers. Prior to this, Fredrickson worked at Gigaclear, where he spent four years leading its engagement with Ofcom and Government. This role followed five years at Vodafone within the regulatory division.
