WBD announces new cooking shows for Food Network

October 13, 2023

Warner Bros Discovery UK & Ireland has announced a selection of food-focused shows, airing on Food Network in late 2023 and 2024.

World famous food explorer Adam Richman wants to taste some of the most iconic food Britain has to offer and using the map as his menu he’s planned his route via places that share their name with a much-loved dish or iconic ingredient. From Sandwich to Scone, Cheddar to Bakewell and beyond, Adam Richman Eats Britain sees our host explore the local namesakes and other treats, as he meets brilliant chefs and food creators all over the country and delves into the history, ingredients, and secrets of famous local fayre. This new 10×30 series produced by eOne will provide a hungry insider’s guide to tasty British hotspots and is set to premiere on Food Network in early 2024.

A new, just add water, based travelogue, Roux Down the River follows chef Michel Roux as he navigates the picturesque Thames, from his family’s restaurant in Bray, to the Thames estuary, where the river meets the North Sea. Stopping at restaurants, shops & markets along the way to enjoy the food, chefs, local characters and history, Michel will use it all to inspire delicious recipes which he’ll make in the boat’s galley and along the riverbank. This 5×60 series is produced by Sidney Street (a Banijay UK company) and will premiere on Food Network early 2024.Audiences can also look forward to Marcus Wareing at Christmas, a new series produced by Plimsoll which premieres in December 2023, with 10×30 Christmas treats spread across the festive season. Marcus Wareing, one of Britain’s most accomplished chefs, trades the lively restaurant kitchen for a warm one closer to home. Marcus will unveil his favourite go to recipes, the ones cherished by him, his family and friends, and share his favourite festive showstoppers just in time for Christmas.

Clare Laycock, SVP Head of Content, Networks & Streaming at WBD UK & Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to have new original series with Adam Richman, Michel Roux and Marcus Wareing coming to Food Network. These food super-stars will go down a treat with Food Network audiences who love great TV talent sharing food stories in interesting formats – whether set in the four walls of their own kitchen, in quintessentially British locations or… in the birthplaces of the food they taste.”

The series were ordered for WBD UK & Ireland by Clare Laycock, SVP, Content, Networks & Streaming. The shows are commissioned by Charlotte Reid, VP Commissioning, and executive produced for the channel by Matt Reid.
