A combination of commercial launches with its Falcon 9 rocket plus the growing subscription income from its Starlink broadband-by-satellite service will propel SpaceX to sales in 2024 of around $15 billion (€14.07bn) according to a report from Bloomberg.
SpaceX’s rocket and broadband business is forecasted achieve sales this year of some $9 billion.
The report suggested that in 2024 sales of Starlink will outpace and exceed the rocket launch activity as the broadband service reaches new markets.
Elon Musk recently stated that Starlink had reached “cash-flow breakeven” in what would be a major milestone for the company. Musk in the past has said that spinning off Starlink in a public listing could be possible as its cash flows become more predictable.
These numbers – both for the rocket business as well as the Starlink broadband system – would mean that the Falcon 9 (and probable Starship) launches would place that business as the most successful and valuable rocket business in existence. Starlink, meanwhile, is already the most successful satellite-based broadband business.
