Over 200 hours of live sport on TNT Sports this weekend

This weekend (May 17th-19th) sees Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) broadcast an abundance of live sport across its channels and platforms, delivering over 200 hours of live action across TNT Sports, Eurosport and discovery+.

Events will feature the finest athletes from the some of the highest profile global competitions as titles are won, champions crowned, and history is made.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

May 18th, TNT Sports Box Office & discovery+ – The weekend’s headline act dubbed ‘The Ring of Fire’, sees one of the most anticipated fights in a generation as Britain’s Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk face-off for the first undisputed world heavyweight title fight since 1999, live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ukrainian Usyk remains unbeaten in his professional career with Fury the current WBC heavyweight champion of the world. The pair were due to meet in February but a sparring injury forced Fury to postpone the fight.

Becky Ives will present the action, joined by Lennox Lewis, the last heavyweight boxer to be the undisputed champion of the world. Carl Frampton, a two-time world champion in two weight classes – IBF Super-bantamweight and WBA super-featherweight, will also deliver expert analysis throughout the night.

Lewis said: “The bigger guy always has the advantage. I think it’s a good time for Tyson. Everyone can see the shape he’s in, and he’s taking it a lot more seriously than the Ngannou fight, and so he should.”

Final day of the Premier League

May 19th 3pm, TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate & discovery+ – TNT Sports will broadcast the season-ending clash between Arsenal and Everton. After falling short last season, the Gunners head into the final weekend sitting two points behind current champions Manchester City. Arsenal must take claim all three points to give themselves a chance of winning the Premier League.

Martin Keown, a member of Arsenal’s 2003-04 ‘Invincibles’ team, and Rio Ferdinand, himself a four-time Premier League winner with Manchester United, will offer expert analysis alongside presenter Lynsey Hipgrave

Premiership Rugby final round

May 17th-19th, TNT Sports & discovery+ – TNT Sports and discovery+ will broadcast all five weekend matches live ensuring every moment is captured as it happens (see full listings below).

Northampton Saints and Saracens have both secured their semi-final places, however five clubs will be fighting for the final two spots as the Gallagher Premiership Rugby regular season reaches its climax. Bath and Sale are the favourites, but Harlequins, Exeter and Bristol are not out of the running and could all progress to the semi-finals.

Austin Healey and Brian O’Driscoll will be at Allianz Park as Saracens host Sale on TNT Sports 1 with David Flatman joined by England 2003 World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio at the Twickenham Stoop for the crunch fixture as Bristol make the trip to Harlequins. Further to the men’s competition, the Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby is also live this weekend with action from Exeter Chiefs vs Saracens (May 19th, 2.45pm, TNT Sports 2 & discovery+)

The Giro d’Italia

May 17th-19th, Eurosport 1 & discovery+ – The Giro d’Italia, cycling’s first Grand Tour of season, reaches an intriguing point this weekend as Britain’s Geraint Thomas is in prime position to move to the top of overall race standings. Saturday 18th May sees the second individual time trial of the race, and with Thomas well-known for his time-trialling abilities could see the 2018 Tour de France winner don the pink jersey for the overall race lead.

Orla Chennaoui, Adam Blythe and Robbie McEwen will be in the cutting-edge mixed reality Cube studio to take viewers through the action.

Cycling fans will be treated to more top tier action as Kate Mason is joined by Josh Carlson and Aaron Gwin for the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series featuring the women’s flagship Downhill event from Bielsko-Biala in Poland, across the weekend on Eurosport 2 and discovery+. Two-wheel motorsport fans will also be well-served this weekend on Eurosport and discovery+ with live coverage of round three of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix from Landshut, Germany (Sat 18th May, 6pm, Eurosport 2 & discovery+) and Bennetts British Superbikes from Donington Park across the weekend on Eurosport 2 and discovery+.

TNT Sports viewers can also follow top-flight European football from Serie A with eight live matches including Fiorentina vs Napoli (TNT Sports 2) Lecce vs Atalanta (TNT Sports 3) Torino vs AC Milan (TNT Sports 1) Inter Milan vs Lazio (TNT Sports 3). Three live matches from France’s Ligue 1 will also be broadcast on TNT Sports.
