Law&Crime Network to stream Alec Baldwin trial
July 8, 2024
Legal and true crime network Law&Crime has announced plans for gavel-to-gavel courtroom coverage from inside the trial of actor Alec Baldwin, who faces charges of involuntary manslaughter for his alleged involvement in the on-set shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.
The trial begins July 9th at the 1st Judicial District Court in Santa Fe, and is expected to take several weeks to determine Baldwin’s role in the firing of fatal bullets during gun-draw practice for the soon-to-be released western film, Rust.
On the ground from Law&Crime will be Sidebar host and reporter Angenette Levy. The network also released an hour-long special on their YouTube channel, The Case Against Alec Baldwin: Actor Faces Trial for Fatal ‘Rust’ Shooting, in preparation for the upcoming coverage.
Though Baldwin continues to maintain he never pulled the trigger on the revolver provided to him by set armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the charges brought against him by a New Mexico grand jury have been at the center of heated film industry discussions over weapon regulations and safety resources on set. Notably, Gutierrez-Reed was also indicted and later found guilty for her role in Hutchins’ death, as well as sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Law&Crime’s Baldwin trial special and upcoming coverage can be found on OTT and their YouTube channel.
