New Cobra Kai debuts at Netflix #1

Part 1 of the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai debuted atop Netflix’s English TV List in the week commencing July 15th with 14.8 million views. Part 2 of the celebrated series’ final season drops on November 15th, whilst Part 3 will arrive in 2025.

Meanwhile all three seasons of Vikings: Valhalla stormed the English TV list: Season 3 took second place (6.4 million views), Season 1 was at sixth (2.4 million views), and Season 2 at tenth (1.9 million views). In the warm-up for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the moving sports docuseries Simone Biles Rising debuted in third place with 4.7 million views. Also making debuts this week were Season 2 of the true-crime docuseries Homicide Los Angeles in fourth place (4.3 million views), and Season 6 of the reality dating competition series Too Hot to Handle in seventh (2 million views). Continuing their electrifying runs were the superhero series Supacell in fifth place (4.2 million views), and Season 3 of Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton in ninth (1.9 million views). 

Find Me Falling, the new romantic comedy starring Harry Connick Jr, debuted at #1 on the English Films List, clocking 14.4 million views. The action-comedy sequel Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, starring Eddie Murphy, took  #4 with 8.3 million views. A Family Affair, the charming rom-com starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Joey King, landed at #5 with 5.5 million views. Hillbilly Elegy took #8 with 4.8 million views. Elsewhere on the list, families settled in for a movie night trifecta, with Trolls Band Together taking the #2 spot (10.3 million views), Paw Patrol: The Movie claiming #9 (3.2 million views), and The Super Mario Bros Movie (not available in the UK) at #10 (3.1 million views).

Mystery thriller Vanished Into the Night (Italy) held the top spot on the Non-English Films List for the second week, racking up 14 million views. Other returning favourites included the comedy Blame the Game (Germany) in second place (8.4 million views), the inspiring sports drama The Champion (Spain) in fourth (2.8 million views), and the shark thriller Under Paris (France) in sixth place in its seventh week on the list (2.3 million views). 

Telenovela Desperate Lies (Brazil) held the #1 spot on the Non-English TV List, notching 3.8 million views. Making their list debuts were the mystery drama Master of the House (Thailand) at #2 (3.7 million views), the true-crime docuseries The Yara Gambirasio Case: Beyond Reasonable Doubt (Italy) at #4 (2.6 million views), and Season 3 of horror series Sweet Home (Korea) at #5 (2.5 million views).
