September 23, 2024

The HomeGrid Forum has announced TP-Link as the newest member of the organisation with a certified G.hn product. The company’s G.hn technology will be used by HomeGrid to ensure service providers, retailers, suppliers and end users alike benefit from cost-effective, optimal home networks.
A global, multinational group delivering high-performant and reliable products and services to over 170 countries and regions, TP-Link has demonstrable experience in consumer networking and electronics, enterprise security, software and cloud services. This includes expertise in G.hn, which enables an ‘any wire’ approach to home networks, ensuring high-speed data transmission and throughput over existing network infrastructure.
“TP-Link has long championed G.hn technology as the key to intelligent and cost-effective networks, which is why we are delighted to welcome them into the HomeGrid Forum and we wish to congratulate TP-Link on achieving their 1st G.hn product certification so promptly,” said HomeGrid Forum President Livia Rosu, also leading the strategy alliances landscape at MaxLinear. “We believe TP-Link will have an important role to play in expanding the Mesh coverage to create a truly seamless Wi-Fi experience.”
HomeGrid Forum-certified TP-Link G.hn2400 Passthrough Powerline Kit provides advanced Protocol G.hn MIMO for faster, more stable connections, and Plug and Play Whole Home Coverage – up to 300m over existing electrical wiring. It also offers 2+2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports, ideal for 8K streaming and lag-free gaming. TP-Link G.hn2400 comes with a passthrough Power Socket, so users don’t lose an outlet. Its Power Saving Mode reduces energy consumption by up to 85 per cent.
“HomeGrid Forum continues to lead the way when it comes to the evolution of G.hn technology,” added Vice President of TP-Link, Pingji Li. “At TP-Link, we have always been at the forefront of the industry with our network products. Our G.hn-enabled PLCs deliver faster speeds, longer distances, and more reliable performance. Achieving our 1st HomeGrid Forum certification is a testament to our commitment to enabling powerful Wi-Fi Mesh networks with greater adoption of the G.hn backhaul across the globe, meeting the soaring global demand for connectivity.”
