Beterbiev vs Bivol on TNT Sports Box Office

October 2, 2024

On October 12th, TNT Sports Box Office will show a night of boxing, headlined by the clash between Artur Beterbiev and Dimitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight title, live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Beterbiev v Bivol will be the climax of an epic card that features four world title fights.

TNT Sports Box Office coverage will be live from 17.30, presented by Laura Woods alongside Carl Frampton, Anthony Crolla and Denzel Bentley, with commentary from Paul Dempsey and Richie Woodhall.

Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs), who has held the WBA light heavyweight belt since 2017 and the IBO since 2023, successfully defended his titles in June with a knockout victory of Malik Zinad. He will now face the WBC, IBF and WBO world title holder ABeterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) who boasts a 100 per cent knockout rate throughout his professional career. Both fighters will put their belts and unbeaten records on the line in a bid to become the first undisputed world champion of the light heavyweight division since Roy Jones Jr achieved the feat in 1999.

The sundercard will be headlined by the bout between Chris Eubank Jr (33-3, 24 KOs) and Poland’s Kamil Szeremeta (25-2-2, 8 KOs) for the IBO world middleweight title. Eubank Jr defeated Liam Smith in his last fight in September 2023, while Szeremeta has lost his last two fights, to Jaime Munguia in June 2021 and Gennady Golovkin in December 2020.

The card will also feature a rematch between Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16 KOs) and Frazer Clarke (8-0-1, 6 KOs) for the British heavyweight title after their thrilling split-decision draw at the O2 Arena in London in April.

Australia’s Jai Opetaia (25-0, 19 KOs) makes the first defence of his IBF World cruiserweight title against Jack Massey (22-2, 12 KOs), while his compatriot Skye Nicholson (11-0, 1 KO) defends her WBC featherweight belt for the second time against unbeaten British challenger, Raven Chapman (9-0, 2 KOs).

Elsewhere on the card, Olympic silver medallist Ben Whittaker (8-0, 5 KOs)  will take on Liam Cameron (24-6, 11 KOs) in a light heavyweight bout, and Mohammed Alakel will make his professional debut in his home country against Jesus Gonzalez (27-2, 14 KOs) to open the card.
