October 11, 2024
Dennis Warner and In Sync Productions will partner with Roku for a sporting event on October 12th to celebrate 35 consecutive years of WCK Muay Thai. This live championship will be presented at the Brasilla Ballroom at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and will live-stream for free in the US on The Roku Channel’s Roku Sports Channel.
The WCK Muay Thai 35th Anniversary event will showcase an action-packed fight card, with four professional fights featuring the next generation of WCK stars and eight amateur bouts. WCK champions Brandol Mendoza and Evan Boulton face world-class competition in defending their titles, while WCK fan favorites Julio Rios, Alex Herrada, Abel Lara, Jesse Sierra, and John Fernando are also set to throw down, along with other top-level fighters in front of a sold-out crowd.
WCK Muay Thai celebrates 35 consecutive years of promoting and producing Muay Thai for the masses. Dennis Warner founded WCK Full Rules Muay Thai in 1989, making it the longest-running combat sports promotion in the U.S. Captivated by the passion of the fans, the skill of the fighters, and the fast-paced nature of Muay Thai, he recognised an opportunity to introduce this dynamic sport to the US audience and has since worked to attract top talent from around the world.
“We are always looking to break barriers for fans and our fighters,” said Dennis Warner, Founder, WCK Full Rules Muay Thai. “It’s one of the only sports to achieve gender parity where female athletes get equal billing. Every event is an opportunity to tell stories about a diverse set of athletes from different backgrounds competing in one of the fiercest sports in the world. Each athlete is on their own journey and has their own unique reasons for being there. There are a lot of relatable themes in the world of Muay Thai fighting that everyone can relate to. With an expanding global fan base, if you want to experience unforgettable events in person or from anywhere in the world in real time, we are delivering options that make that possible,” he continued.
“Roku’s expanding lineup of premium live and original sports programming takes audiences to the center of all of the action, and we couldn’t be more excited to give our viewers an exclusive front row seat to this thrilling milestone event for WCK Muay Thai,” said Joe Franzetta, Head of Sports, Roku Media.
