WBITVP Germany promotes Löbbert to Director of Fiction

October 28, 2024

Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) has announced that Kristina Löbbert has been promoted to the role of Director of Fiction at WBITVP Germany, taking the lead on developing, financing and producing the company’s scripted content in the territory.

Löbbert, who has been with Cologne-based WBITVP since 2023, will replace Bernd von Fehrn, who is leaving the business for personal reasons. She reports into Rene Jamm, MD of WBITVP Germany.

Löbbert has been a producer for more than 20 years and has numerous credits to her name, including the feature film adaptations of German bestsellers Emmas Bliss, The Murder Farm and Close to the Horizon. She has held senior positions at companies such as Wueste Film West, Boogiefilm and Pantaflix — one of Germany’s leading production companies, where she managed the Cologne office for seven years.

In the past two years since joining WBITVP, she has employed her network and connections across the industry to grow a slate that includes Kacken an der Havel, WBITVP Germany’s first series in production for Netflix and the development of an updated version of the German classic, The Little Vampire.

Ronald Goes, WBITVP President, commented: “Kristina has made a significant impact on our business in Germany since joining the team, so we are delighted to promote her to this role; it is most well deserved. She is extremely well-connected, a very skilled producer and has an enviable mix of creative and commercial skills that make her such an asset. We are naturally sorry to see Bernd leave our team – and Cologne – and thank him for the huge contribution he has made over the past few years. As he passes the baton to Kristina, we are excited about the future, continuing to deliver premium scripted projects to leading streamers and broadcasters in the German-speaking world and internationally.”

Löbbert added: “WBITVP Germany quickly felt like home when I joined and while I will miss Bernd, I am grateful to now have this incredible new opportunity. We have a raft of brilliant projects in development and a team that is bursting with new ideas. I am thrilled to now lead this team to the next stage of the company’s development and look forward to growing our reputation and sharing these ideas both within the WBITVP network and with a wide range of local and international partners.”
