Record broadcast coverage for Melbourne Cup Carnival

The Melbourne Cup Carnival will see record TV exposure with the Australian horse racing festival to be aired on 28 sporting networks, covering 228 territories.

The Lexus Melbourne Cup will headline the four-day meeting. Run on November 5th. The $8.5 million feature race takes place at Flemington Racecourse where the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and HBA Media will co-produce a world feed for expectant audiences.

The VRC’s two-hour broadcast will spotlight the international allure of the Lexus Melbourne Cup, showcasing its rich history and the stories of top global contenders. HBA Media (HBA), the Victoria Racing Club’s (VRC) dedicated global distribution agency, has secured improved distribution for the wider Carnival days. Penfolds Victoria Derby Day, Lexus Melbourne Cup Day, Crown Oaks Day and TAB Champions Stakes Day will be headlined by Fox Sports in the USA, bringing the Melbourne Cup Carnival to over 70 million American homes.

Six new networks join the Aussie party, including Rogers (Canada), Eurovision (20 European dark market territories), Viaplay (Scandinavia, Netherlands), NTV (Mongolia), Reuters (Global News) and TransWorld Sports (Global Magazine Show), plus several key renewals. These additions promise to enhance the global reach of the event, offering fans even more access to the festivities surrounding Australia’s premier horse racing event.
