Audible launches Watch Dogs: Truth and Zeroes
November 28, 2024
Audible, a provider of spoken word entertainment, has launched its first original interactive audio experience, Watch Dogs: Truth, created in collaboration with Ubisoft, as well as new sci-fi comedy Zeroes.
Watch Dogs: Truth follows on from the events of Watch Dogs: Legion, the action-adventure game centred around the hacker syndicate DedSec, as they cleared their names and saved the city during the Zero Day Affair.
Listeners of this story will once again join the fight for truth whilst guided by the self-aware AI, Bagley, as they make decisions at the end of each episode, with choices that shape the hacking collective’s next move, profoundly impact character relationships and ultimately, the success of the resistance effort.
Across the series, listeners will have the fate of the city in their own hands, as the government’s cyber intelligence force (SIRS) orchestrates a sinister campaign of message manipulation and fake news, which leads DedSec to fight back using its revered tactics to battle against alarming disinformation.
This series features T’Nia Miller as Connie, Gary Beadle as Tyrone, Freema Agyeman as Yolanda, Russell Tovey as Paul, David Morrissey as McAllister, Hannah Lowther as Camilla, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Oscar, Ruben Reuter as Charlie and Pascal Langdale as Bagley, who reprises his role of Bagley from Watch Dogs: Legion, all supported by a full ensemble cast.
Zeroes is created by David Reed (The Penny Dreadfuls) and produced by BBC Studios Audio.
Set 200 years in the future in the divided dystopia that is Britannia, the series introduces playboy billionaire Napoleon Moon (Paterson Joseph: Wonka, Noughts + Crosses) a hellishly self-obsessed nepo baby that lives the high life as one of the ultra-rich residents of Zenith Prime, whilst in the gutter below dwells Cash (Danielle Vitalis: Attack the Block, the Bubble), who survives as one of Britannia’s ‘Zeroes’.
Across six episodes, their two lives collide as they’re forced to embark on a desperate odyssey to reclaim their existence when they become fugitives from the fascistic corporate police, Custody Inc, led by DCI Greyson (Jason Watkins: The Crown, Des).
Along the way they negotiate with self-proclaimed eco-terrorists, have meet-cutes with meat cubes, avoid billionaire-killing robots, and get lost in fantasy-fulfilling computer worlds. Slowly, Napoleon and Cash’s eyes are opened to the true nature of CityZen (Katherine Parkinson: Rivals, The IT Crowd) – the app that runs everything in Britannia and is slowly losing its mind…
Zeroes and Watch Dogs: Truth are both now available exclusively on Audible.
