TCLtv+ debuts original films

TCLtv+, the streaming service from electronics company TCL, has announced the premiere dates for five new original film shorts produced by its TCL Studios. The film shorts will launch on the TCL streaming service beginning December 12th and rollout throughout the week. These titles represent the first slate of originals from the new studio. The five film shorts will be showcased on TCLTVPLUS after enjoying a theatrical premiere in November. Viewers can find these new films by going to the TCL Originals tab where they join the streamer’s first original entry, the award winning Message in a Bot, as well as two original comedy specials from the teams at Witz and Best Ever Channels.

TCL Studios is a production hub aimed at incubating and building AI creative through the development of both scripted and unscripted projects. In partnership with key Hollywood talent, it seeks to demystify the process surrounding AI animation and is presently working in long form and short form content. Five directors helmed projects spanning multiple genres including, Comedy, Sci Fi, Docufiction, Horror, and animation.

The five Directors are George Huang (Writer/Director), Paul Johansson (Actor/Writer/Director), Kellita Smith (Actress/Writer), Chen Tang (Actor/Writer), and Kurt Yaeger (Actor/Writer) had their films featured at the TCL Chinese Theatre before their debut on TCLtv+ beginning December 12th.
