Last week, two sets of share movements were reported at satellite operator Eutelsat.
The first concerned Spacetime Transformations, which acting on behalf of clients and funds under its management, now held 5.01 per cent of Eutelsat’s shares. The company, controlled by British businessman Christopher Harborne, said it held 23,827,744 Eutelsat shares.
The second reported on Lazard Asset Management which again “acting on behalf of clients” had stated that it now held 23,947,507 Eutelsat shares representing 5.04 per cent of the satellite operator’s capital and voting rights.
Eutelsat, in a statement, said that Spacetime Transformations was not a new investor but was now the name of a longer-term investor AML Global. AML is best known for R&D and technology development opportunities.
Eutelsat added that Lazard was a long-term shareholder.
“Portfolio adjustments sometimes occasion threshold declarations,” said a Eutelsat spokesperson.
