4Sales appoints Peters

Channel 4 has announced the appointment of Clare Peters to lead the newly created Client Sales team within its ad sales division, 4Sales.

Reporting to Matt Salmon, Interim Director of Sales, Peters will lead 4Sales’ client sales strategy and manage its dedicated client sales teams across London and Manchester in the newly created role of Deputy Head of Client Sales. The 12 strong team is embedded into the four integrated and multi-disciplined Agency & Client Sales groups, to ensure that there is a joined up approach to partnering clients and their agencies.

Peters is currently Chief Business Strategist at Manning Gottlieb OMD, working with clients to find new and innovative ways to solve business challenges, boost effectiveness and increase profitability. She has spent 15 years with the media agency where she also held the position of Head of Planning for six years.

Salmon said: “I am delighted to have secured someone of Clare’s calibre to join our senior commercial team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in innovative business solutions and a strong track record with clients. We have an ambitious plan to develop closer client relationships, whilst continuing to work collaboratively with our agency partners – Clare’s experience will help us ensure this is a success.”

Peters’ work with an impressive portfolio of brands, including Diet Coke, Carling, PlayStation, FRANK and Knife Crime in her earlier career and more recently with John Lewis, Age UK & Virgin Trains, has been recognised with multiple industry award wins.
