India approves up to 200 more DTH channels

Doordarshan, India’s public broadcaster, has been given the go-ahead to significantly expand its free-to-air satellite offering, to as many as 200 channels by the end of this year.  There are reportedly more than 250 channels in the queue waiting to gain access to India’s enthusiastic audience for satellite TV.
