Incognito and Applied Broadband join forces to deliver comprehensive subscriber consumption management to cable operators

November 16, 2011

Incognito Software, an industry leader of broadband provisioning and service fulfillment solutions, has entered an agreement with Applied Broadband, the IPDR technology and market leader, to partner on a joint subscriber consumption management solution for cable operators. Under the agreement, Pipeline Broadband Intelligence, an IPDR collection and analysis suite from Applied Broadband will be integrated into Broadband Command Center, a network-agnostic multi-standard device provisioning solution and Service Activation Center, an end-to-end service fulfillment solution from Incognito Software.

As the increasing number of Internet-enabled devices and online over-the-top services drives up broadband usage, cable operators are looking to streamline the provisioning, activation and management of their network bandwidth to optimise the customer experience while controlling costs. The integration of the Applied Broadband and Incognito products enables operators to have a centralised view and control of a subscriber’s broadband services, from device provisioning and service fulfillment to overall bandwidth usage. The coupling of network-based consumption intelligence with subscriber service and provisioning information creates new opportunities for cable operators to better manage broadband consumption growth and possibly monetise traffic patterns on their networks.

“Against an industry backdrop of multiple service providers rolling out bandwidth caps and other subscriber usage policies, DOCSIS® IPDR collection, analysis, and presentation is the key for cable operators to drive new revenue opportunities, optimise capacity planning and other business goals without creating privacy issues for their subscribers,” said Jason Schnitzer, founder and principal, Applied Broadband. “Incognito’s powerful device provisioning and service fulfillment system enriches the subscriber usage visibility and control provided by Pipeline while opening the door to new product offerings along with complete consumption management and monetisation scenarios.”

“The Pipeline™ Broadband Intelligence suite from Applied Broadband compliments our end-to-end service activation and provisioning solutions,” remarked Stephane Bourque, President and CEO of Incognito Software. “This partnership exemplifies of our continual commitment into helping our customers increase efficiencies by streamlining BSS/OSS processes.”

The integrated Applied Broadband and Incognito solution will be generally available worldwide in Spring 2012 and will be supported and sold by Incognito Software.
