Conax has announced it has furthered its partnership with pay-TV provider, Malivision. The Malivision DTT platform has chosen an upgraded Conax CAS7 to Conax Contego to secure its MMDS operations. Conax says the solution includes functionality for centralised security operations and comprehensive system management easily managed through a highly user-friendly interface.

The company says Conax Contego offers Malivision reduced cycle time and efficient interface for easily managing consumer product offerings. The Conax Contego platform is installed with a complete functionality set, thus additional features are easily enabled at a later time – and includes a full-fledged DRM solution to control what the end-user is allowed to do with the content. Management of chipset pairing, for an additional level of protection, is highly flexible and easily administered. All pairing transactions are stored in the audit log for easy tracking.

“Malivision has been very satisfied with the performance of the Conax CAS7 solution and the cooperation with Conax skilled professionals. Upgrading to the next generation Conax security platform was a natural choice,” confirms Serge Dergham, GM, Malivision. The additional functionality and ease-of-use provided by the Conax Contego user interface has furnished Malivision with highly secure platform that is easily maintained through an advanced, yet intuitive and flexible management system.

-“The new solution provides additional robustness, offering more flexibility and easier implementation of features requested by our customers, such as prepaid card services, flexible subscription dates and much more, continues Dergham. “It also can be employed to manage virtual operators, opening the door for us to new contracts with contents providers.”
