Fox International Channels has unveiled plans to launch a Fox channel in the UK on January 11th, 2013. The new channel will premiere entertainment content, and results from the rebranding of the group’s current UK entertainment channel FX. The new network will continue to be accessed by UK viewers via Sky/Virgin/ EPG number.

Following record-breaking audience figures earlier in 2012, FX will become Fox as a natural evolution of the brand becoming a bigger TV destination. Under the new name, Fox will continue to provide UK pay-TV viewers with first-run series – such as The Walking Dead and True Blood – and also broaden its schedule into other genres to reflect an ever-expanding audience.

“This evolution comes at a time where our brands are very well positioned in all markets  around the world and also in Europe and in the UK.  We expect the new branding to further our campaign of delivering innovative and quality programming to fans who love great television”. said Jesús Perezagua, President of Fox International Channels Europe & Africa.
