NBC Olympics has selected thePlatform, the white-label video publishing company, as its central, online video platform (OVP) during its production of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, from February 6-February 23. The announcement was made today by Rick Cordella, SVP & GM, Digital Media, NBC Sports Group, and Ian Blaine, CEO of thePlatform.

thePlatform’s mpx system manages and publishes all on-demand video plays across computers, tablets and smartphones for NBC Olympics.  thePlatform serves as the on-demand video management system for all 98 events, medal ceremonies, opening and closing ceremonies, athlete interviews and profiles, and more.
