Casa Systems, a specialist in next-generation cable edge technology, has announced that Wave Broadband, a gigabit fibre and broadband services company serving the Pacific Northwest, is deploying the C100G CCAP from Casa Systems to provide subscribers with gigabit broadband speeds. While improving customer quality of experience (QoE) with ultra broadband, Wave will also be able to reduce its energy consumption, lower rack space needs and simplify operations.
“Driven by the incredible growth of streaming video, social media and other rich content, the gigabit era can’t wait. To reinforce our investment in expanding gigabit services across our region, it was imperative we have the right infrastructure in place,” said Harold Zeitz, president and COO at Wave. “The C100G CCAP from Casa Systems is the solution that paves a seamless path to scale and supports next-gen technologies such as DOCSIS 3.1, wireless, PON architecture and virtualization that are poised to become competitive differentiators.”
